Courses Offered

K-6 Program

The K-6 Program meets the basic learning outcomes of the BC Curriculum. Homeroom teachers teach the core subjects of language arts, math, science and social studies. An art specialists teaches Grades 1-6 art, a music specialist teaches Grades 2-5 choir and Grade 6 band. Grade 5 and 6 students take Core French. Grades 1-6 also take computers.

7-9 Program

Most Grade 7 to 9 courses run all year. Core courses which all students take include: English, math, science, social studies, PE, French, computers, and business education. Grade 7-9 students choose art or band. All students take Bible as a course also.

10-12 Graduation Program

To graduate with a BC Dogwood Diploma, students must earn 80 credits as follows:

Required Courses - 48 credits
Elective Courses - 28 credits

Students must earn at least 28 elective credits from Ministry-Authorized courses, External Credentials, Board Authority Authorized courses or Independent Directed Studies. CRCS courses include those listed above and:

Graduation Portfolio - 4 credits

Grade 12's must plan and lead one chapel with a partner.
